We are a London based interior design consultancy designing contemporary and classical interiors. We source and design furnishings and bespoke joinery, and build a palette of finishes to enhance your interiors. We often re-plan your existing space to maximise the potential of your home.


We commission art and source antiques, and place your cherished pieces with thought and care. We 'value engineer' your project ensuring your budget is always carefully observed. John Carpenter Design was established in 2009.


We have recently completed several central London projects including three townhouses, a penthouse, two apartments, a roof terrace, and a coastal villa near Cork in Ireland and an apartment in Moscow. 


Prior to establishing John Carpenter Design, John worked for 20+ years as a senior designer for several of the UK's top designers. John has many years of design and project management experience, having completed a wide variety of UK and international projects. These include Grade II listed townhouses in Notting Hill, Mayfair, Belgravia, and Greenwich, and an apartment in Knightsbridge. Two villas in the south of France, an apartment in Moscow and a beach house in the Hamptons.


A graduate of the Royal College of Art, John started his design career as a set designer for film and television. With exhibitions of his paintings and design work held at the Royal Academy of Art and B.A.F.T.A.
